MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has denied Senator Imee Marcos’s story that the government is importing cabbage, thereby reportedly compromising the livelihoods of millions of local farmers, especially in the Cordilleras. Citing information from Agriculture Secretary Francisco Laurel Tiu Jr., Palace press officer Claire Castro said the government does not augment its local cabbage supply from foreign markets.
