Modern-day overworked office drone Jiang Yunzhi (Jenny Young) is transported into a novel as the cannon-fodder fake heiress in a wealthy family saga. The original host slit her wrists for the scumbag Shen Xuzhou (Shaun White), but after waking up in her body, Jiang Yunzhi decides to take control of her fate and treat being the wife of the richest man as a high-paying full-time job. Facing her cold, germaphobic contract husband Yan Wenjing (Wendell Vann), she carefully maintains their arranged marriage boundaries, yet her chaotic antics repeatedly shatter his composure.
At first, Yan Wenjing remains indifferent to her entanglement with Shen Xuzhou, but he gradually becomes drawn to her vibrant personality and secretly starts protecting her. Jiang Yunzhi battles her scheming “green tea” younger sister and humiliates the cheating ex, while also discovering Yan Wenjing’s weakness: severe insomnia. Unexpectedly, she becomes the only cure that helps him sleep. As they grow closer, the two slowly find comfort, understanding, and genuine love in each other.
