After the scoundrel fled in disgrace, he unexpectedly died—only to return home hours later completely unharmed. Lin Peiyu realized with shock that he was not human, but a highly intelligent alien inhabiting a human body.
Determined to make a breakthrough that would shake the scientific world, she suppressed her fear and kept him by her side, posing as his lover while secretly observing, recording, and even teaching him. She taught him human emotions, and he learned with earnest clumsiness, starting from trying to please her and gradually stepping into her world. The more she taught, the more Lin Peiyu found herself unable to tell whether she was observing him—or waiting for him to truly become human.
