  • The murder trial of two men accused of killing popular Johannesburg musician Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock is moving to the High Court following the completion of a complex police investigation.
  • State prosecutors allege that 25-year-old Armindo Pacula carried out the fatal shooting, while 44-year-old Victor Majola acted as the mastermind behind the assassination.
  • Investigators have finalised all outstanding evidence, including facial comparison analysis, financial audits, and decrypted mobile data, ahead of a pre-trial hearing on 18 June 2026.

The murder case against two men accused of assassinating popular Johannesburg broadcaster Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock is set to be transferred to the High Court.

State Prosecutor Vincent Mochabela confirmed to the Johannesburg Magistrates Court that the state’s investigation is now entirely complete, paving the way for trial proceedings.

The prosecution has assembled a comprehensive evidentiary file against the two co-accused: alleged hitman Armindo Pacula, 25, and suspected mastermind Victor Majola, 44.

Authorities claim Pacula carried out the execution in the Johannesburg central business district on 16 December 2025, whilst Majola allegedly orchestrated the plot. DJ Warras was fatally shot while installing security cameras inside a building believed to have been hijacked.

The state had previously secured a postponement in April to finalise its case.

On Wednesday, prosecutors revealed that all critical outstanding tasks including forensic facial comparisons, detailed financial tracing, the analysis of downloaded mobile phone data, and the formal drafting of the High Court indictment had been successfully resolved.

Although Pacula’s legal representative was absent due to illness, the court proceeded with a brief update before granting a short postponement.

Both accused, who first appeared together in the dock in February, remain in custody and are scheduled to return to court on 18 June 2026 for a pre-trial hearing.

The tragic killing of the father-of-three continues to deeply affect his family and the wider South African music industry.
