WEATHER: Morning fog before warm conditions

Here’s a look at what the weather has in store for KwaZulu-Natal, the Free State and North West this Sunday, 3 May.

KWAZULU-NATAL

The north-east will be partly cloudy with patches of morning fog, while the rest of the province can expect fine and warm conditions, turning cooler in the west.

Coastal winds will start light from the north-west before becoming moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly later in the afternoon, while the UVB sunburn index remains very high.

DURBAN

Durban will enjoy fine conditions this Sunday, with moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly winds.

Temperatures will range from a minimum of 18°C to a high of 27°C, while the UVB sunburn index remains very high.

FREE STATE

The Free State will see partly cloudy skies with patches of morning fog early on, before clearing to fine conditions with cool to warm temperatures later in the day.

BLOEMFONTEIN

Bloemfontein will start the day partly cloudy with patches of morning fog.

Temperatures will dip to a chilly 7°C before climbing to a pleasant high of 22°C.

NORTH WEST

The province will see patches of morning fog in some areas, followed by fine conditions with cool to warm temperatures.

Cloud cover is expected to increase over the north-eastern parts during the afternoon.

MAHIKENG

Conditions will be partly cloudy, with temperatures starting at 8°C and rising to a high of 26°C.
