Lu Fan (Alfred Roger) finally married Fang Yuqing (Haley Peck) and doted on her endlessly, giving her a monthly allowance of up to one million. However, when Lu Fan fell seriously ill, Fang Yuqing refused to pay even 100,000 for his surgery. She even told the doctor to give up treatment and attempted to sell his organs for money—just so she could be with her true love, Chen Jingkai.
Chen Jingkai later revealed to Lu Fan that the car accident that killed his parents had been orchestrated by them, with the intention of taking over the Lu family’s fortune. Overcome with rage and despair upon learning the truth, Lu Fan died. But he was granted a second chance at life. Reborn, he vowed to make everyone who had wronged him pay a hundredfold.
Meanwhile, after a series of events, Fang Yuqing gradually came to realize how deeply Lu Fan had loved her—and was consumed by regret.
