Springboks fly-half Handre Pollard penned a sweet tribute to his wife, Marise Pollard on Mother’s Day on Sunday 10 May.
HANDRE POLLARD’S MOTHER’S DAY TRIBUTE TO WIFE
Springboks fly-half Handre Pollard took some time out to show his wife, Marise Pollard some love and appreciation on Mother’s Day (Sunday 10 May) via an Instagram post. In the post, he expressed that he is grateful for the sacrifices she makes.
Handre and Marise are parents of two. The pair welcomed their first child, Hunter Andre Pollard on 25 April 2024. The Pollards welcomed their second baby, Isabella Tanya Pollard on 20 October 2025. Hunter just turned two and Isabella recently turned six months old.

“Happy mother’s day my lief. We can’t thank you enough for everything you do and sacrifice for us each and every day. There are no words to describe how much we appreciate you. The three of us love you with everything in our hearts🤍,” he wrote.
Handre and Marise have been together for over 13 years. The pair connected through Facebook back in 2012. A few years later, Handre and Marise tied the knot at Cavalli Estate in the Cape Winelands in 2017 and have been happily married since!
The couple lived in the UK in 2022 when Handre joined rugby team Leicester Tigers. In 2025, the pair moved back to South Africa as Handre rejoined The Bulls. The couple built their dream home, and Marise opened up about raising her kids like it is the 1990s.
PARENTING LIKE THE 90s
Marise was beaming with pride as she previously shared a look inside her family life. She expressed that she wants to raise her kids like it is the 90s, at their country-side home.
Marise then shared a photo of Hunter looking at a fence, and two adorable donkeys in what appears to be their home. She also shared photos of chickens and the fresh eggs they had laid. Take a look…
