Mbola thanked her supporters for helping turn her dream into reality following the success of A Food Love Story

South African food content creator Onezwa Mbola’s cookbook has become the number one best-selling cookbook in the country.
The achievement comes just weeks after Mbola released the highly anticipated book.
“Seeing this cookbook become the number one selling cookbook in the country is something I could only have dreamed of, and it would never have happened without you.
Every purchase, every recommendation, every meal you created from these recipes has meant more to me than words can fully express,” said the published author.
The food content creator announced in late April that her book was finally available and open for pre-orders.
The release was met with warmth and excitement across her social media platforms, especially from fans who had long been asking her to publish a cookbook.
Drawing inspiration from meals her mother used to prepare, Mbola said she hopes the book will not only find a place in people’s kitchens but also bring families and loved ones together.
“Thank you for believing in me, supporting my work, and allowing me to do what I love every single day. I’m endlessly grateful to be on this journey with you,” she added.
Mbola captured hearts online through content many describe as raw and authentic. She is known for creating meals using ingredients she has raised, grown, and foraged herself.
She has also inspired many of her followers to start food gardens in their own backyards, with fans often praising her lifestyle and approach to sustainability on social media.
One of the videos that particularly shocked the public showed Mbola collecting seawater in her neighbourhood and making sea salt from scratch.
