Actors Shalate Sekhabi and Wanda Zuma recently shared beautiful moments from their lobola and umembeso celebration.
The couple posted stunning snaps from the special occasion, giving fans a glimpse into their journey from on-screen lovers to real-life soulmates.
Zuma also shared a heartfelt poem dedicated to his wife, who was once his love interest on the popular telenovela House of Zwide.
In the isiZulu poem, he referred to the now Mrs Zuma as imbali, meaning “flower.”
“The beginning of forever,
Kuhlangana imphefumulo embili iba yinye,
Imndeni ebingazani ihlanganiswe intenhle yezingane.
Oh what a life,
Nakwimpilo elandelayo ngiyophinda ngikhethe wena.”
The couple also expressed gratitude to friends and family who joined them in celebrating the memorable occasion.
While it is not uncommon for on-screen romances to blossom into real-life relationships, Shalate and Wanda have quickly become one of Mzansi’s most admired celebrity couples.
The former co-stars announced their engagement last year, sharing their joy and excitement.
